Welcome to Panama-guide.com -- Panama Guide.com started off as a non-profit, volunteer project operated and managed by a group of friends who, combined, have literally hundreds of years of experience living and working in the Republic of Panama as expatriates. Our mission is to provide accurate and timely information, resources, and assistance to the English speaking expat community who live and work here. In addition try to help those who are researching and are interested in potentially moving to Panama in the future, as well as to those who plan to visit as tourists. Our goal is to make Panama-Guide.com the premier forum for English speaking expatriates living in the Republic of Panama. We are building this site to better serve your needs and expectations, so please let us know what you think and provide us with feedback and comments. We'd like to focus our efforts to better serve the expat community, and your feedback is crucial. Please let us know what you think.
Panama Guide.com has been very well received. We've been growing steadily since officially launching the site on 1 September 2004, and we continue to work to improve the site. In our first ten weeks on the net (information current as of 21 November 2004) 2,246 unique visitors have made 4,295 visits to Panama Guide. We've displayed 21,391 pages and had a total of 137,214 hits to the site. We now link to more than 100 other websites related to Panama.
What We Are Not: We here at Panama-Guide are not trying to sell you anything. We don't want your money. We're not selling real estate, used cars, beachfront property, and we are NOT a guide service. Basically, we are not trying to sell you anything, "pump" one service provider over another, or to lead you in one direction. You are a smart person and are ultimately responsible for your life, actions, and decisions. There is but one rule that is always in effect in Panama -- Caveat Emptor.
What We Are: Panama-Guide is basically a service for the English speaking expatriate community living in Panama with the overriding goal of providing timely, accurate, useful, and helpful information. We live here and know what's going on, and we want to pass that information along to you.
Articles, Submissions, and Contributions: If you'd like to write an article for the Panama-Guide please just go to the home page and click on "submit an article." You can create a user account and then just type away. We know there are thousands of expats living in Panama, and each of you have a wide variety of experinces and history, and we'd like you to share that with the readers of this board.
So, thanks for stopping by, and we hope to see you again.
