Concern in Chiriqui and Boquete Over Earthquakes

Earthquakes It seems like reports of minor earthquakes are coming out of Chiriqui and Boquete almost daily. Another earthquake registering 4.1 on the Richter scale was reported this morning. This afternoon on RPC News (channel 4) reported that two construction projects owned by "foreigners" (not further specified or defined) have been suspended due to concerns over the recent earthquake activity. The report was not really clear, but seemed to indicate that the owners or developers of the projects wanted to ensure their construction methods were adequate for the risk and activity. There have been earthquakes registered on five different faults in the area in just the last two weeks, in Paso Canoa, Puerto Armuelles, and Boquete. The report said that scientists are deploying more and better equipment to make sure that Volcan Baru is not in the process of coming back to life.
