Cuban Panama Envoy Pans US Blockade

Politics Panama, Nov 1 (Prensa Latina) Despite the US blockade and its harmful results, Cuba currently continues giving its aid and cooperation to the Third World countries, said Cuban ambassador to Panama, Carlos Garcia. The economic, financial, and commercial war imposed by Washington strives to make a people surrender by hunger, which is a genocidal action, denounced the diplomat in an act of solidarity with Cuba held in Colon City, about 49 miles north of the Panamanian capital. However, the diplomat stressed, the Revolution will never be defeated, neither with those measures nor through a military invasion. Garcia said that the White House arrogantly ignores the international community, which is increasingly demanding an end to the US blockade on Cuba. The diplomat predicted that a draft resolution to condemn the over 40 years US blockade on the Caribbean country will be presented to the UN General Assembly on November 8. He recalled that initiative was approved for the first time in 1992, with the support of 59 countries. Since then, the draft resolution has reached more support at the UN every year.

Editor's Comment: Well, at least Havana's Prensa Latina is still driving right down the middle of the old "objectivity" road in their reporting. Man, I wonder if anyone will be able to see through the veneer to the truth. It apparently took them thirty seconds to get this out after they learned that Panama will be on the UN Security Council, and Hugo Chavez is standing around waiting for Castro to die so he can take over the helm of the left-wing revolutionists in Latin America. God, this is going to be fun to watch.
