4th of July BBQ with the VFW and American Society

Groups & Organizations By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - Yesterday afternoon the Veterans of Foreign Wars, along with the American Society of Panama and the Balboa Yacht Club, threw a traditional American BBQ with all the fixing's to celebrate the 4th of July. The party started at 12:00 noon and lasted until late in the evening. There was a fireworks display once the sun went down. According to Manny Landron, the Commander of VFW Post 3822 in Panama City, said "we had food for 500 people and we ran out of food. We think about 600 people turned out, we had a great crowd." The American Society of Panama had a tent and table set up and were signing up new members and collecting dues. Manny said "I would like to thank everyone who helped put this event together, it was a big success." (more)

Members of the Republicans in Panama organization provided people with absentee ballots.
