Panama Goes to CONCACAF Pre Olympic Tournament

Sports SectionPanama, Mar 2 (Prensa Latina) Panama announced the sub-23 soccer team with which it will look for its ticket for the Olympic Games in Beijing, China, in the regional pre-Olympic tournament scheduled from March 11 to 23 in several US cities. The list of the players reaches 20, and it is only pendent of the selection of a third goal keeper, according to the list given by head coach Alexander Guimaraes (Brazil). Four Panamanian players now playing for foreign clubs are included: Roman Torres and Gabriel Torres, from La Equidad, Colombia; Jose Venegas, from Santos, Costa Rica and Nelson Barahona, from Fenix, Uruguay. The rest of the players play for Panamanian teams. Panama will make its debut against Honduras on March 11, to match US on March 13 and close its classification stage program matching Cuba on March 15.
