Balbina Herrera Quits as Housing Minister to Concentrate on Campaign

By DON WINNER for - Panama's Housing Minister Balbina Herrera quit her position on the executive cabinet of Panamanian President Martin Torrijos in order to better concentrate on winning the PRD primary in her bid to be Panama's next president. She served in the position of Housing Minister for 43 months. She said she was glad to have served the Panamanian people, and had worked to respond to their expectations to help provide dignified housing for families. She will now focus her time completely on trying to win the upcoming PRD primary election, against her primary opponent Panama City Mayor Juan Carlos Navarro.
