Law & LawyersHey Don, I want to convey my personal gratitude to Robin, who posted on Panama Guide his ability to assist in translations in legal matters. I am going through the mother of all divorces here in Panama, fighting for the rights of myself and my 4 year old son. The Panama legal system is described at best as convoluted from a gringo perspective. Robin seriously stepped to the plate for me in an attempt to sort out and assist me in regaining my life here in Panama. He is absolutely recommended to any and all as a solid contact here in Panama to assist in English/Spanish areas of difficulty. Thanks Don...and thanks Robin! Michael

I realize this article is about the translator. But I can't over look the text regarding getting a divorce in Panama, and the nightmare it is. No truer words have ever been printed!
The legal system in Panama is, and will be unrecognizable to any American. The divorce procedure is full of antiquated laws which need to be changed. Haven't you noticed??...We are living in the 21st century.
A country which wants so desperately to be westernized, had better change their laws.
