Let The Hunt Begin! Mariano Rivera Now On Trevor Hoffman's Heels...

By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - Keep your eye on this link. You will see that (as of today) New York Yankee star relief pitcher Panamanian Mariano Rivera now has 479 career saves, placing him in sole possession of the #2 spot on the all-time career saves list. You will also see that Mariano is a young and sprite 38 years-old, while Trevor Hoffman is a relatively crusty 40 year-old. Hoffman who is still throwing for the San Diego Padres has 552 saves and is the #1 all time career saves leader. And now, officially, the chase is on. Mariano needs to close the 73 save gap between them which will be made easier once Hoffman retires. That is, if he ever retires.
