By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) released their annual report "World Economic Outlook (WEO)" - Financial Stress, Downturns, and Recoveries. Read this report from cover to cover if you really want a good feeling for the global impact of the current financial crisis in the United States. In this report the IMF projects the GDP growth in Panama for 2008 to come in at 8.3% growth overall, second only behind Peru. The IMF projects Panama will have another banner year in 2009 and is projecting 7.8% growth when most of the other countries in Latin America will drop down to 2% or 3%. So, the bottom line is that while the rest of the world is pretty much hosed, Panama will continue to rock. Wanna buy a condo? No, seriously...
