Are There Chiropractors In Panama?

Healthcare

By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - Received this morning via email: "Hello Don. Can you please advise if there are chiropractors in Panama. I have asked physicians that I have seen, however, they all look at me like they never heard of them. I have tried to find them in the phone book, however, maybe I am not calling them by their correct name. Or maybe they do not exist in Panama. Could you please assist in this search. Terry" In Spanish chiropractors are "Quiropracticos" and there are several in the yellow pages. Look for that section where the "Medicos" are listed. I've heard of several foreign chiropractors but there have been issues of foreigners practicing medicine in Panama without a license. Now, are chiropractors doctors and do they need a license to legally operate here? I think so. In any case, from what I have seen and heard the foreign chiropractors who are working in Panama trying to fly somewhat below the radar. You might want to find a Panamanian chiropractor if you want to avoid those kinds of issues. If anyone has any additional information or details please step up to the comments section, and thanks.

In relation to Chiropractors in Panama, there is a brilliant guy at Alta Vita Spa which is on Calle 66(I think) nr back of Multiplaza, off Via Israel. He's called Dr Michael Joseph and is American, and cannot legally act or call himself chiropractor over here, but he is brilliant and very experienced in everything to do with the back, re-alignment etc. I've had a lot of treatment and he is the best I've been to. Also a very nice place to go! Lots of other treatments on offer - they have a website you can look at.

I've been using Dr. Alfredo Orillac, Jr., Edificio Torres Bella Vista, Av. Julio Arosemena, Entre Calle 42 y 43, Bella Vista, Tel. 225-1345, Tel/Fax. 225-6461, for the last 5 years. He was trained in the US and has both US and Panamanian certifications. He's been in practice here for 60 years; he's 85 and in better shape than I am at 66. I highly recommend him.
Saludos, George

Great to hear that there are chiropractors in Panama. Now does anyone know if there are any in the Los Santos area? More specificly near Pedasi !!! Like I need one now, without having to drive 4 hours to the city because Air Panama cut all flights in this area. The cheap bas*&%ds. I can barely sit for 30 mins never mind 4 hours.

How about one that travels!!!!! That'll do.....today would be great !!!
