By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - Received today via email: "Hi. So the one thing I would love to hear from the horse. Is if a corp. owns just ONE property but it is being used as a short term residential rental for rental income. Do you need the notice of operation. I know this affects fewer people and the feedback is good but there are a lot of investors here in Panama. So still not clear is renting one short term residential is a commercial operation. Also if a person owns (in a corp.) say a beach house and one in the city that they just use for personal residential use, or a city house and a vacant lot that they plan to build on someday. That is more than ONE in both cases so would have to have the Notice of Operation? Best Wishes, Jeff" That's the question at this point - does short term rental mean your corporation turns into a business?
