Another Earthquake Last Night, This One Magnitude 5.3

EarthquakesBy DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - According to the US Geological Survey, another earthquake measuring magnitude 5.3 struck the same area about 90 miles Northeast of Panama City along the Caribbean coast last night at 11:10 pm local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was located at 9.539░N, 78.895░W and a depth of 30.9 km (19.2 miles), centered 95 km (60 miles) NE of PANAMA CITY, Panama and 110 km (70 miles) E of Colon, Panama. This one is being called an aftershock of the 6.0 earthquake that struck in the early morning hours on Saturday. This one felt very similar to Saturday's quake, (as in, type or style) just not as strong or long lasting. Again, these are "good" quakes in that stresses in the earth's crust are being released with no significant damage, deaths, or injury.
