Cocaine found in buckets at warehouse

Radio Jamaica - Members of the Customs Contraband Enforcement Team on Tuesday seized a shipment of cocaine valued at more than $10 million at a warehouse situated at Kingston Wharves. No arrest was made. After receiving intelligence, members of the Enforcement Team inspected a shipment from Panama. Several five gallon kegs of paint were opened and packages wrapped in cellophane tape were seen in three of the buckets. When the packages were cut open, a white powdery substance resembling cocaine was found. The officers conducted field tests on the substance and confirmed the powder to be cocaine weighing nine pounds. It was handed over to the Narcotics Police.
