According to a report released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, this industry spent more than $5 million dollars in Panama in just the months of July and August 2009. During this period there were five different foreign production companies working in Panama, which translates into an investment of more than $5.6 million dollars. One of the last visits was of the "No reservations" television show with Anthony Buerdain, a renowned chef at the global level. This program is broadcast on the Travel Channel.
