Flash Update #9 - Live Reports from Readers - Nada...
By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - I'm getting telephone calls from readers who have views of the Bay of Panama from Panama City along Balboa Avenue. They report that the sea is as flat as glass, it's low tide, and there's nothing to report. Good. That's what I expected actually, especially considering that this threat hit precisely at low tide. However, tidal waves seem to have a knack for fooling people. Remember the video of people on the beach, wandering out into the mud flats when the really big tidal wave was about to hit a couple of years ago? If they knew what was coming they would have been running in the other direction. Anyway, hopefully this event will serve as a wake-up call, and a reminder that we do live next to the ocean. And when Mother Nature wants to, she can barf all over us. Now, let's turn our attention to the people in Chile.
