Dogpile On The (Ornstein) Wabbit - Before He Runs Away

By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - Okke Ornstein is a kind of "serial slanderer" who has been operating here in Panama for several years. He has stood up and shut down several websites that in reality he only uses to slander other people. He calls himself a "journalist" when in fact most of what he does is use information against his victims in a kind of criminal conspiracy for extortion. He finds out a piece of "dirt' on someone, and either you pay him or he will use it against you and publish it on his website. Nice guy, eh? Anyway, there are now a series of criminal and civil complaints pending against him in Panama, the United States, Canada, and Russia for exactly that - conspiracy to commit extortion, defamation, and slander. He published information that had been stolen by one of his co-conspirators. Ornstein denies the fact that he is under investigation, however he has now been summoned to appear before the prosecutor twice. Both times he was officially notified - he physically signed the notifications himself - however both times he failed to appear before the prosecutor to testify. If you would like to see the complaint against him you can download it here.
Why Won't He Go? Ornstein has been summoned to appear before the prosecutor to answer to the complaints that have been lodged against him. If he can't come up with a good explanation or prove how the fundamental basics of the allegations against him are wrong and incorrect, then the prosecutor can (and will) order his arrest on the spot. In Panama they call it a "preventative measure" and in Ornstein's case if he's in jail then he can't run away or continue to break the law. He has not appeared before the prosecutor for two reasons. First of all, he's buying time and delaying. He's trying to negotiate his way out of trouble but that's not going to happen. The other reason is just to delay the inevitable. If he walks in there as a free man, he might be arrested and taken to prison right from there. He know's it, and he's scared shitless of the reality that's staring him in the face.
Kicking His Buddies Under The Bus: Ornstein is now shaking in his boots. In public he's trying to say it's all bullshit and the complaint won't go anywhere, however in private he's trying hard to negotiate a deal to cooperate fully and to testify against his co-conspirators in exchange for being removed from the complaint. News for the rest of you guys who are named in the case - Ornstein is trying to sell you out, hard. Ornstein offered to completely roll over on everyone else, however the answer was simple - no deal. All of the complaints against him and everyone else will proceed forward. The allegations in the case are true, the evidence is solid as a rock, and the victims are confident that they will win on the simple merits of the facts. With that being a given, why negotiate with a criminal? Ornstein and the others will all be held accountable for their actions. Following his most recent attempt to find a way to squirm out of this whole thing, this morning Ornstein posted the following;
- "I love Colombia. It is, as you observed, a country of extremes while Panama is not. Other than that, I don't know what there is to compare. Colombia has a real city for a capital instead of a failed Miami clone, it has more diverse nature and landscape, it has writers and film and TV production going on and that's an important segment of society, it has much more advanced education, transportation and legal system, it has better media, it has better music and artists, nice towns and villages, the people are friendlier and much more courageous - again, what's to compare? Go to Colombia after Panama and you see the difference between Central American banana republics and a South American country. Panama is just a rotting carcass, "un hueco", where people come to make money. Any Colombian can tell you that. Okke"
Bags Packed, Ready to Rabbit: If it weren't for the house arrest order and the prohibition from leaving the country, I think Ornstein would have bolted for greener pastures long ago. There are a handful of other pesky complaints pending against him which supposedly will prevent him from running away from Panama to avoid prosecution, but if I know one thing about him, it's that underneath all of the crap he's actually a coward. I'm predicting he will run, one way or another, even if he has to swim a river or end up in Colombia or Costa Rica illegally. If he's discovered in either of those countries as an illegal alien without a proper entry stamp, then the worst he's looking at is deportation back to his home country. And from what I understand there's more legal action waiting for him there. Whatever, it's only a matter of time at this point. The noose is slowly getting tighter and tighter, and I have to say it's been a long time coming.
Free Legal Service: Has Okke Ornstein ever slandered you on one of this websites? Would you like to take legal action against him but you felt like you don't have the time or the resources? If so, then please contact me. One of Ornstein's victims has offered to provide free legal services to anyone who would like to proceed against him legally in Panama. Just provide the details of your case, sign a power of attorney, and forget about it. The lawyers will "cross-pollinate" all of the various complaints to establish a well defined pattern of conduct, and demonstrate to the prosecutors and judges how Ornstein has done the same thing, again and again and again and again - and how he's been getting away with it for years. Well, those days are over. Anyway, the offer stands. It's time to "dogpile on the wabbit" before he runs to Colombia. Actually, I bet he goes to Ecuador to live with Leslie Aldredge. That seems to be the pattern.
Update: Ornstein comments on this article (writing about me): "I guess he can't stand it that all that legal bullshit his scammer clients file against me doesn't seem to be going anywhere." Actually, all of the cases are proceeding along quite nicely. All of the rest of this co-conspirators are also freaking out. The only person who doesn't seem to be going anywhere is Ornstein. Specifically, he's not going to the prosecutor's office, even though he's been officially summoned twice. Sooner or later they will issue an arrest warrant for him, he will be dragged in against his will, and that will be that. He continues to live in a state of denial, which has absolutely nothing to do with the truth. But then again, we're talking about Ornstein here, so no surprise there, right? I just found out that another set of criminal complaints will be filed on Monday by a whole different set of victims, in Panama, the United States, and the UK. They will be sending me copies of the complaints as soon as they are filed.
