Kidnapped Cuban - American Businessman Cecilio Juan Padrón Breaks Silence

Expat Tales Cecilio Juan Padrón, the Cuban - American businessman who was kidnapped in the Costa del Este neighborhood of Panama City and held captive for over ten months by FARC Colombian guerrillas, broke his silence and spoke for the first time about his case. Padrón said at the precise moment when he was deprived of his liberty, on 4 April 2008, he was leaving a building where he was working as a contractor, he was put into a police patrol car, and later moved to the remote Darién province of Panama, near the border with Colombia. Editor's Comment: A judge recently established a date of 7 October 2010 for the hearing of the police officers and others who have been charged in this case. Thank God he got back safe and sound.
