Yet Another Car Hydroplanes and Loses Control on Centennial Bridge Road

Traffic Accidents Martin Sanchez was driving from Arraiján towards Panama City when during the heavy rainstorm that fell yesterday afternoon, he lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a ditch on the road to the Centennial Bridge. The worst part of the accident was that his car flipped over and fell into the Pedro Miguel river. Allan Almillátegui and José Barrios witnessed the accident, and they stopped to offer first aid to the 44 year old victim, who had multiple bone fractures. Abdiel Escudero, of the Fire Department of Pedro Miguel, said the strong current was taking the car, so they acted swiftly using a ladder, rope, and stretcher to remove the driver, who was taken by an ambulance from the 911 service to a local hospital. (Dia a Dia)

Editor's Comment: Yet another car crashes, the victim of hydroplaning on the road connecting Panama City to the Centennial Bridge. There is an accident on that road practically every time it rains. Go slowly there in the rain, slower than what you think might be safe. All of these drivers were surprised when they lost control of their vehicles. Don't be next.
