Residents of the community of Santa Ana de Los Santos denounced to this newspaper that at the coastal area near the Peñón de La Honda, people have been capturing and killing the sea turtles as they come to lay their eggs. The complainants, who asked to remain anonymous, ask the National Environmental Authority (ANAM) in the region of Los Santos, to be vigilant in this area, as the Peñón de La Honda, in the past, hundreds of turtles came to spawn, but now there are few and they need to be protected, as well as in other areas such as Isla Caña and La Marinera of Pedasí.
