By DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - Last night and this morning I received a couple of emails from people who had tried to create new user ID's on the Panama Guide system, but they couldn't do it because the "Captcha" plugin was not properly configured. This is the program that generates an image with a string of letters and numbers that you have to enter when registering for a user account. These days it's necessary to run this kind of program on a website like mine, to prevent machine generated email addresses from running scripts to register hundreds of automated accounts, in order to post spam in the comments, on the calendar, etc. They can't get away with it on my site anyway, because I personally review and approve every post manually before they go up. But no matter - the point is that the "Captcha" plugin is now working again, with the newest and most recent version of the program installed and updated. And once again, my apologies for any inconvenience that might have been caused, and thanks for your continued patience as I keep working to make this website a little better, each and every day.
