Contributed by: Don WinnerBy DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - Over on the Americans in Panama Yahoo email group someone asked the question "where is the ACODECO headquarters" because they wanted to file a complaint against an airline who apparently failed to property recognize their pensionado discount. I used Google Earth to create a placemark, and then sent that placemark to the group. It worked great, and if you just click on the attachment in the email, Google Earth automatically opens up, and it flies you straight to the location. Cool. So that got me thinking - Can I use this tool for the articles I publish on this website? Well, so far it seems like the best I can do is first upload the file - in this case ACODECO HQ.kmz - and if you click on that link it will download to your computer. Then if you open the file you downloaded (if you have Google Earth installed) it should open up and fly you straight there. That's a few more steps than I would like, but still it's a neat little tool that I'll be using more often.
