Final Touches For Start of Baseball World Cup in Panama on Saturday

#Panama - The organizers of the 39th edition of the World Baseball Championship, which begins in Panama on Saturday October 1, said they are in an advanced phase of adjustments and solving some problems to start the event. Edwin Cabrera, president of the Organizing Committee, said logistics aspects - involving transportation, security, hotels, meals, and improvements to the stadium - is ready. He said they are emphasizing awareness among the public not to exceed the available parking capacity for cars in Rod Carew Stadium, in order to avoid traffic congestion. He said they hired the "Mi Bus" company to provide a free shuttle service to the stadium from different points of the capital city. The public can catch the buses at the Albrook Mall, in El Dorado, at the Metro Mall, and the University of Santa Maria La Antigua. He also said the use of the buses is a preventative measure, that will help them be prepared for any possible emergency, and will help keep the roadways as clear as possible.
