A dump truck with license plate number 714284 overturned this morning on one of the entrance ramps to the Northern Corridor, near the sector of Ojo de Agua. This truck was carrying rocks used to make roadways (tosca), and according to reports the vehicle suffered a mechanical problem that caused the accident. The driver was uninjured. (Panama America)

Editor's Comment: Mechanical problem? Maybe. But it looks to me like the driver just took the turn too fast, lost his center of gravity, and flipped the truck to the outside curve of the ramp. Anyway, as you're driving around the country, be especially careful when your behind or next to any kind of truck in Panama. They are never properly maintained, and they are generally being driven by people with marginal experience and dubious training. When I see these guys I want as much space as possible between me and them. Luckily no one was injured in this accident.
