Getting To The Rod Carew Stadium From The Interior

Sports SectionBy DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - Someone asked how to get to the Rod Carew baseball stadium from the Bridge of the Americas. Well, first of all, it would be a whole lot easier to just use the Centennial Bridge - because you have to go right past the stadium on your way into the city. However, if you insist on using the Bridge of the Americas - after you cross the bridge follow signs for the Northern Corridor. I think that as soon as you get on the Panama City side of the bridge the easiest way is to get off at the very first exit and then follow that road through the Balboa area. Turn left at the YMCA and then go straight. When you reach the entrance to the Panama Ports harbor, turn right at that light. Straight ahead about 500 meters or so, and take the bridge up once you pass the McDonald's on your left. Now you're on the Northern Corridor. Follow that all the way until you see signs for Cerro Patacon or the Centennial Bridge. Take the clover leaf (exiting the Northern Corridor) and head out towards Cerro Patacon, leaving the city. About another 500 meters or so and the stadium is on your right. But really, it's about 1000 times easier to just come into the city using the Centennial Bridge, and you will run right into it, on your left. Good luck.
