For her part, Salazar said these meetings are intended to ensure that the commitments of both partners can be met once the treaty enters into force. The U.S. Congress ratified the bilateral Free Trade Agreement between Panama and the United States on 12 October 2011, after the signing of the agreement by both governments in 2007, the year it was also endorsed by the National Assembly of Panama. (Prensa)
