Chemical Spill Forces Closure of Via Transistmica in Panama City
The authorities closed the roadway this morning near the bridge on Via Transístmica located near the National Brewery, which lead to the outskirts of the city. TVN News reported the decision was taken after a truck spilled chemicals on the roadway. The chemical, which will be examined, was being transported in the truck, they said. The staff of the Office of Safety and Security of the Fire Department went to the scene to begin their investigations. Drivers are being diverted to side streets.
