Apparently Fugitive Expat Joe Medcalf Was Running Cafes in Panama City

Expat TalesBy DON WINNER for Pa nama-Guide.com - It looks like the American fugitive Joseph Medcalf, who was deported last weekend from Panama to the United States - indicted by a federal grand jury in Fresno, California for having defrauding investors of $3.2 million dollars - was happily running a couple of coffee shops here in Panama City. He posted on his Facebook page that "I am very busy with the cafes here." He was running a cafe called the Madison Ave. Cafe located inside of the Madison Store in the Albrook Mall.

I might be wrong, but this looks more like the Madison Store in the Paseo Central Mall in Chitré.

He's got a smirk frozen on his face in all those photos. I wonder if he's smiling now. I wonder who took his passport.

I wonder what happens to his business in a case like this. Any ideas who now owns it?

joe was not well liked here in las tablas for the one month he ran the resturant at Oceanos near the bus terminal. Joe started in Colon, then david, then went onto Chitre before hitting las tablas. In Las Tablas Someone mysteriously gave him 1000 to run the resturant, and found a nice guy who let him stay at a fully furnished house for $80 a month. Joe brought a whole new meaning to cheap, he would never buy a round, and told people if they wanted to buy him a beer they could, but he wasnt going to buy. When is muffin sales were a flop, he quit and stayed in the house all day, the owner of the house finally had enough of joes crap and
told him to leave, but he said he had no money so the guy had to pay him $200 to get rid of the bum.
he was later seen in panama city working again with madison. from the day i met him, you knew something wasnt right. he wont be missed in las tablas

At long last...so glad we got to finally wipe that smug look off his face! Thank you Panama for cooperating and letting us bring this jerk home to face his victims, many who are elderly, some who are looking down on him with smiles on their faces. He showed no mercy....elderly, blind, widowed with babies, young, members of his church, those of us close to retirement. Meanwhile he's living it up in Panama. Or maybe not, he has really aged in the last 5 years, you stupid crook! See you in court on Monday. ;~)
