Bosco Vallarino Released From The Hospital - On Bed Rest
Anabel Espino de Vallarino said the Mayor of Panama City Bosco Vallarino was released from the hospital today, Friday, 13 January 2012, but he must return to the hospital next week to receive medical treatment. Vallarino left the Punta Pacifica this morning, but his doctors ordered complete rest, so he will not have access to news, a computer, or his cell phone to avoid having a relapse. Vallarino's wife said he would be subjected to a radioactive iodine treatment to reduce thyroid activity and control hypertension, but must wait until Monday, because this medicine comes from outside of the country. She said the former mayor saw part of the meeting held yesterday afternoon at the headquarters of the Panameñista political party, and the Vice President Juan Carlos Varela is keeping him informed of what's going on. "When he is finally released, he will give his own statement," said Mrs. Vallarino. (Panama America)
