Government Opens "Air Bridge" To Bypass Protesting Indians

EVACUATION - In addition to this air bridge, the National Air Service (SENAN) and the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc) initiated the evacuation process in the areas of San Felix and Vigui to transport tourists, children, elderly, sick and other bus passengers.
INCREASE FLIGHTS - In the early hours of yesterday, it was learned the domestic airlines at the Marcos A. Gelabert airport have doubled flights. Rolando Pereira, Aeroperlas commercial manager, said yesterday Aeroperlas increased by three times their commercial flights between Panama City and Chiriqui.
FOOD - Similarly, vegetables and milk will be transported from Chiriqui to Panama by barges and air freight, to provide the community, hotels, restaurants and hospitals, and gasoline is being imported from Costa Rica to supply the province of Chiriqui.
'KIDNAPPED' - Faced with the worrisome situation, the National Civil Protection reported yesterday afternoon, the Indians had 'kidnapped' a passenger bus from the Tica Bus company with about 42 Costa Rican tourists. (Siglo)
