SUNTRACS Leader Denies Reports
The leader of the Trade Union of Construction Workers and Allied (SUNTRACS) Saul Mendez today rejected the idea that union leader Jaime Caballero leader is planning to take over the police headquarters in David, Chiriqui, as announced by Security Minister Jose Raul Mulino. Mendez reported that a pickup truck with license plate number 619374 that is driving around Chiriqui with red SUNTRACS flags is owned by the government. Mendez deplored the police action in Tole, Vigui and San Lorenzo, saying it was a cowardly and brutal repression against the people Ngäbe. (TNV)
