You Can Check On Line To See Unpaid Traffic Tickets in Panama

Cars & Transportation By DON WINNER for - Anyone with a Panamanian driver's license can go online to check on the status of both current or past traffic tickets and infractions. Just surf to and enter the requested information. This website is owned and operated by the Land Transit and Transportation Authority (ATTT) and it contains the official status of your "account" with them. In my case I entered my personal identification (cedula) number in the top section, and then in the bottom section I entered date of birth, date of expiration on my driver's license, then the "control" number which is printed vertically on the right hand edge of your driver's license itself. The information came up instantly, and it was current and correct. You can see any current or old tickets - in my case there were old entries there going back to 2004. It also shows how many points are currently on your license, if any. This is a handy tool you can use to see exactly what is in the system about you and the status of your license.

You Can Check On Line To See Unpaid Traffic Tickets in Panama

Hi Don thanks for the tip.

I just check it…and here are my findings
2006 on the main road close to Pedasi. I passed a horse drawn carriage on the long straight road with no traffic ahead and no traffic behind. Two hundred yards further, a cop standing next to his motorcycle waved me to stop. He said that I had violated traffic laws for passing traffic along a continuous white line. When I ask him where was the “continuous white line” he said the line should be there and will soon be painted because the road had just been redone and I should know it. Yet he said that for $10 he could forget about it. I refused so he gave a ticket for some other strange reasons. I paid the ticket (25 Balboa) at the ATTT office then situated in Plaza Concordia opposite to Rey Via Espana.

2008 I am driving away from the parking of former ”Do it Center” in Paitilla, two cops standing by stop me for not having my seat belt on and gave me a $75 ticket. No discussions, I was wrong! Next week, I went to Plaza Concordia to pay the fine. The ATTT office was no more but a sign directed to ATTT Albrook bus terminal. Next day I went there and after waiting for 45 minutes, they told me to go to ATTT office behind Ray at Albrook because they had no knowledge of my traffic ticket. Went there but it was closed. Next day went again and after waiting for more than one hour I was told to go to Pedregal because they had no knowledge of my ticket. Next week I went to ATTT at Pedregal and after waiting over one hour “on line” I was told that their computer did not show any tickets on me but could fix it at once. I paid the $75 Balboa to the cashier with the bill presented by the employee AND RECEIVED A RECEIPT.

THE ATTT WEBSITE SHOWS: puntos acumulados: 0
