Prosecutor Investigating Possible Corruption In Veraguas

CorruptionComplaints made by elements of the civil society in Veraguas over alleged irregularities that have benefited family members of the Regional Director of the Ministry of Housing and Land Management (Miviot), Roberto Gilbert made to the El Siglo newspaper did not fall on deaf ears. Maruquel Castroverde, the Third Anti Corruption Prosecutor, told this newspaper their office opened a formal investigation in Veraguas about the possible use of State resources in the construction of an annex at the family residence of the Miviot regional director, Gilbert. "The investigations began in Santiago, but we will go wherever we have to in order to do our work, because the anti-corruption prosecutors have jurisdiction to investigate possible corruption in the entire country," said Castroverde. In the province of Veraguas Victor Jordan, a spokesman for the Anti-Corruption Front, Chapter of Veraguas, demanded a thorough investigation to determine who ordered the work at the home of relatives of the Miviot regional director. This kind of stuff is getting comical.
I mean, if this is not red handed, I dont know what is.
Building an annex, looks like a sitting room for somebodys mothers family command center.
Good to see the prosecutors office is on a roll.
