Fatal Accident on Pan American Highway in Chiriqui
One person was killed and five were wounded in a traffic accident yesterday afternoon on the Pan American highway, in the district of Tole, Chiriqui. The accident occurred at 3:30 pm. The fatality was Luis Carlos Armuelles, aged 52, who was a passenger in the grey double cabin pickup truck which collided with an SUV. At the time of the accident a heavy rain was falling at the place. Maj. Mario Rosario, head of Traffic Operations in Chiriqui, said the driver of the pick-up had been ticketed for speeding, a few miles back. Rosario said investigations will be conducted to determine responsibilities. Public Ministry officials made the removal of the body. (Siglo)
