Four Bags Filled With Cocaine Found Inside Shipping Container Full Of Wood
The seizure took place under an intelligence operation called "Operation Puerto" which resulted in the seizure of the illegal substance that was found in four sports backpacks. The drugs, located by the authorities, was inside a shipping container loaded with wood that was about to depart Panama. The director of the DIJ, Manuel Moreno, said their investigations will determine if the drugs were introduced into the container in Panama or if it was already on the boat; they will also be checking to see if the seals had been tampered with. Moreno said the Drug Prosecutor's Office in conjunction with the DIJ have information about the people who are likely to be linked to that seizure. It is expected in the coming hours they will have more information about the shipment. The fight against drug trafficking takes place across the country, as these nefarious goods threaten the lives of thousands of people, including many young people who fall into the clutches of the drug with deadly strings in all its manifestations.
