Off Duty Police Officer Foils Robbery Attempt
Several individuals tried to rob the "On The Run" fast food restaurant located in front of Plaza Edison on Tumba Muerto, but an off duty police officer foiled the robbery. There were at least twelve customers inside of the store at the time, and none of them were injured. According to the National Police, when the suspects heard the off duty police officer order them to halt, they opened fire on him with an AK-47 and escaped in a car belonging to one of the customers. After a major police operation the stolen car was recovered in the area of Viejo Veranillo. (Dia a Dia)
