SINAPROC Reports Strong Storm and Hail in Panama City
Hail was reported by several users via Twitter, especially in the Costa del Este. Reports emerged during a heavy downpour that hit several parts of Panama City. Arturo Alvarado, the Director of the National Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), confirmed the hailstorm hit the areas of Costa del Este, Juan Diaz and Tocumen. Additionally, Javier Castillo, the Chief of Operations for Sinaproc, reported trees were down on the Southern Corridor, Santa Elena, Chanis, and a tree fell on a house in Sector 22 of Mañanitas, where no injuries were reported. Also in 4th Street in Ciudad Radial flooding was reported, Sinaproc staff are responding to the area to quantify the impairment. (Telemetro)
