SENAN Conducts Medical Evacuation From San Blas to Albrook
Two citizens of Puerto Obaldia, San Blas, were transferred to the Marcos A. Gelabert airport in Albrook by the National Air Service (SENAN). The 29 year old man and a 42 year old woman were diagnosed with phosphorus poisoning, possibly from pesticide inhalation. The medical evacuation was carried out using a Caravan aircraft with a medical team from the Naval Air Base at Tocumen so the patients could receive health care during the flight to the Albrook Airport. One patient was taken to the Arnulfo Arias Madrid hospital complex, and the other to the Santo Tomas hospital in Panama City. (Dia a Dia)
