IPA Students Evacuated - Possible Bomb Threat
This morning, students from the Instituto Panamericano (IPA) school, located in Las Sabanas, were evacuated from the building for reasons that have not yet been confirmed by authorities. Students ended up occupying part of a block, being watched by their teachers. Initially there was talk of a suspected outbreak of fire, however there are unofficial reports of a bomb threat, while reporters at the scene confirmed the presence of anti-explosives and canine units. Arturo Alvarado, director of the National Civil Protection System, confirmed the presence of units of that entity. It is speculated that the warning could have resulted from an anonymous caller who warned about the presence of an explosive device. (Telemetro)
