Man Hit By 18 Wheeler (That Was Backing Up)
A citizen was struck this morning by the driver of an 18 wheeler who was moving in reverse, in the area of 24 de Diciembre. The man was about to try to cross the road, and he didn't notice that the 18 wheeler was backing up. He was just a few meters away from a pedestrian bridge that people on foot are supposed to use to cross the roadway. The victim was identified as Theodoro Vasquez, who was carrying a can of black paint at the time of the accident. Vasquez survived the accident and was treated at the scene by paramedics and then taken to the local hospital. It was reported he is in stable condition. (TVN)
