Blandon Says Papadimitriu Was An Important Piece For Martinelli
National Assembly Deputy Jose Isabel Blandon of the Panameņista political party referred to the resignation of Jimmy Papadimitriu from his position as the Minister of the Presidency. Blandon predicts there will be multi million dollar claims filed against the Panamanian government over the expropriation of the land in Juan Hombrón. "They will be indemnified in some manner," he said. He said the resignation reflects a crisis, because Papadimitriu was an "important piece of gear for President Ricardo Martinelli." He noted the departure of Papadimitriu leaves a void within the government. Jimmy Papadimitriu was the Minister of the Presidency from July 1, 2009 until July 16, 2012. (Estrella)
Editor's Comment: Well, I think someone will be filing claims against the state, but eventually those claims will go to court. And there will be a decision handed down. And then it will be appealed. And eventually it will end up before the Supreme Court. And then those guys will ignore the law and evidence and make whatever politically motivated decision is required at the time. All of this will take between ten to fifteen years. Talk to me in 2027.
