Former Director of Immigration Called To Trial For Corruption, Fraud, Influence Peddling
The Second Anti Corruption Prosecutor, Lisette Chevalier, called for a trial against the former Director of Immigration, Maria Cristina Gonzalez and against 5 other people of a total of nine fo the alleged illegal processing of visas. Chevalier accuses Gonzalez of the alleged crimes of corruption, forgery and influence peddling. Gonzalez and her attorney argue the innocence of the former Director of Immigration. It appears there will be a hearing on the merits of the case this Friday 20 July 2012 at 08:30 am in the Third Criminal Court said Massiel Arosemena, TVN journalist. (TVN)
