Nine Firemen Injured During Panama City Supermarket Fire in El Cangrejo
Nine firefighters were injured during a supermarket fire in the area of El Cangrejo, in Panama City. This was reported by the Captain of the Fire Department of Panama, Angel Delgado, who said the situation was already controlled. According to Delgado, at this time the firemen are working to control the fire in the basement area to declare the area safe. Delgado said the work has been arduous, so they had to call volunteers to provide support. The captain said there was much resistance from local residents to evacuate near their homes. However, with the intervention of other authorities who came to the scene, they cleared out the area affected by smoke.
