American Expat in Panama Bypass Operation - Needs Blood Donatios

Expat TalesBy DON WINNER for Panama-Guide.com - Jim Tryon underwent a double heart bypass surgery on Saturday in the Punta Pacifica hospital, and he was in the ICU until last night. He was already given three pints of AB- blood during and after the operation. Jim and his wife Barbara are asking the members of the English speaking expatriate community for blood donations. Blood types needed are "any negative type" - A-, AB-, B-, or O-. Donors can go to the Punta Pacifica hospital and the blood bank is located in the basement. Tell them you are donating in Jim's name.

Jim is a Vietnam Veteran who served three tours there as a Navy Commando. Jim and Barbara have owned a home here in Panama since 2000, and they split their time between Panama and California. Please - if you can - come out to make a blood donation to help this family.
