Fugitive Arrested in LA Upon Returning From Panama
Bryan Benjamin Lalezari, 28, was arrested at 3:50 p.m. Tuesday after arriving to LAX aboard a flight from Panama. Lalezari had a "dangerous drugs" warrant issued by the Beverly Hills Police Department, Ruiz said. "The men and women of CBP work extremely hard every day behind the scenes, securing our nation's borders," said Todd Owen, CBP's director of field operations in Los Angeles. "The apprehension of these fugitives highlights CBP officers' keen analysis of intelligence and their determination to safeguard our citizens." CBP officers arrested 499 suspects passing through Los Angeles-area airports and ports during the 2011 fiscal year, Ruiz said.
