There Are Now At Least Ten Politicians Who Aspire To Be The Next Mayor of Panama City

PoliticsThe possible candidates are starting to warm their motors for the "great battle" for the position of Mayor of Panama City. It's still two years before the next elections of 2014, but the names of at least ten politicians are being tossed about who aspire to occupy that office. Political analyst Edwin Cabrera said yesterday that given the number of applicants, the fight for the Mayor's office could be more interesting than the presidential contest itself. He said it will be interesting to see who will achieve a majority in the primaries in the opposition Democratic Revolutionary Party (PRD). It was learned there are about five candidates from this political collective. Cabrera said the race for mayor will be "intense." The National Assembly Deputy from the Cambio Democratico party Vidal Garcia said he would like to see Balbina Herrera from the PRD and opposition Deputy Jose Isabel Blandon running, and he thinks they would be beat by the CD's Sergio "Chello" Galvez. Is that Ana Perez Mckenzie in the picture on the right? She would be one hot mayor.
