Overcrowding At The Arnulfo Arias Madrid Hospital Complex
The director of medical services of the Social Security Fund, Javier Diaz said there is serious overcrowding in the emergency room of the Hospital "Arnulfo Arias Madrid." Diaz said they are now attending emergency cases 24 hours per day at the Susana Jones hospital, because at the Arnulfo Arias Madrid hospital complex they were serving about 170 people, when in fact the capacity is for 80. In addition, Level II surgical patients will be hospitalized and operated on at the Susana Jones hospital, therefore elective surgeries were suspended. Diaz said this measure is temporary.
