Investing More Than $400 Million To Build Five Hospitals and 20 CAPSI

HealthcareThe Minister of Economy and Finance, Frank De Lima, said on Thursday "no is no funding to build the new headquarters for the Children's Hospital" during the current administration of Ricardo Martinelli. De Lima said the Ministry of Health is investing $400 million in new hospital infrastructure, and he added this is the sum of money invested in the five hospitals and 20 Minsa CAPSI to be built across the country. (Telemetro)

Editor's Comment: The administration of Ricardo Martinelli started building these things called "Centros de Atenction Primaria de Salud Innovadores" (CAPSI) (Innovative Primary Health Attention Centers). This administration is building five new hospitals and 20 of these CAPSI things - which are much better and a big step up from the little old one or two room local health clinics, but they are not as capable as a full blown hospital. Here's a document from the Ministry of Health showing where all this stuff is being built, if you're interested.
