Boiler Explodes at Pascual Plant
A boiler exploded at the Pascual company this afternoon, due to some defect, two people were injured, on Saturday 4 August 2012, said the acting director of the Civil Protection System (Sinaproc), Jose Valencia. The injured were taken to the Santo Tomas Hospital for medical attention. Valencia said both Jairo Cruz and Efrain Quintero suffered first degree burns to the face. The explosion occurred at 2:10 pm. The first to arrive on the scene were firefighters and police officers, who controlled the situation. Valencia said the fire department will investigate the causes of this incident. (Prensa)
