Contributed by: Don WinnerThis Monday, Sept. 10, there will be no meeting of the full Legislature, until there is a consensus among the different parties on the draft law No. 508 which reforms the Electoral Code. This was reiterated this afternoon by the President of the National Assembly, Sergio Gálvez. The first call was supposed to occur at 3:00 pm today. However, the different sides have not reached an agreement on Bill 508. Talks between the Deputies started at noon today.
Galvez made his statements as the economist John Jované went to the National Assembly this afternoon. Upon arrival at the Legislative Palace, Jované said was keen to participate in the dialog on electoral reforms. He also advocated for electoral parity and independent candidates. (Prensa)
