According to the statement, the company must comply with the amount of money as agreed in contract AL-1-63-10, without prejudice to any legal action that might be taken against them for reasons of non-compliance.
On August 30, 2012, arrangements were made to approve a transfer by the Budget Committee of the National Assembly, in the amount of $5 million dollars for the company Benito Roggio Panama, SA, but the payment has not been made, and it is required that the company regain compliance with its contractual obligations, he said.
The MOP guaranteed the completion of the project, work either by the contractor or by the bonding company.
The clarification came after the National Assembly agreed today, to cite the Minister of Public Works Jaime Ford on Tuesday 18 September 2012 to explain the suspension of the construction of the road from Divisa to Chitré. (Panama America)
